tl;dr

  • Hord collaborates with the SSV network to integrate Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) into a portion of its validators.
  • DVT enhances the Hord’s security by allowing managed validators to be distributed among multiple operators, ensuring diversification and resilience.
  • The first milestone of securing a testnet allocation has been completed, paving the way for subsequent milestones.
  • Hord received a grant from SSV Network, emphasizing its dedication to building a robust and decentralized staking ecosystem.

Hord Accomplishes Testnet Integration with DVTs

In collaboration with the SSV network, Hord has agreed to integrate Distributed Validator Technology, or DVTs into a portion of its validators. DVT revolutionizes the staking experience by allowing managed validators to be distributed among multiple operators. This ensures diversification, enhancing the resilience of the staking environment.

The first milestone of this collaboration, securing a testnet allocation, has been completed. This achievement paves the way for subsequent milestones. The next step is the integration of SSV on mainnet, and its implementation will begin after a 3rd party smart contract audit is completed. As part of the collaboration, Hord received a grant from SSV Network, paving the way for more development and innovation in the world of liquid staking.

By adopting DVT in a portion of Hord’s validators, we move away from a model where a single operator manages a large number of validators. Instead, various operators collectively manage these validators, maximizing rewards and fortifying the system against potential issues. This collaborative effort with The SSV Network underscores our dedication to building a robust and decentralized staking ecosystem.
